Student Engagement: An Indelible Impact at the Community College in year ONE
Maximizing student success in alignment with engagement is a known challenge among community colleges. The influence of student engagement on retention, completion and satisfaction creates an opportunity to re-imagine our structural complexities, reform policies, and re-define our practices (McClenney, 2007). While the diverse populations that mark community colleges offer unique challenges, they also provide a pathway to revisit our student life missions and tactics. The presenters will review viable engagement practices and recommendations for institutional development.
