2018 NASPA Annual Conference

Redefining Success: Intersectional Strategies of High-achieving Women in Student Affairs

Student affairs conferences offer countless sessions for empowering women and supporting their success. Inevitably, women in student affairs attend these sessions seeking strategies to manage their professional responsibilities, but are frequently met with suggestions for streamlining housework, childcare, responsibilities for their partner, etc. In response to sessions that focus too heavily on the personal lives of professional women, the presenters will offer an alternative perspective rooted in intersectional professional development and workplace-based strategies.
