Not Just Sea Monkeys: Campus Employment as a High-Impact Practice
Jeremy McGinniss, writing about designing intentional campus employment opportunities, wryly observed "students are not sea monkeys where they hit the water and start swimming and growing." This interactive program, presented by the co-authors of A Good Job: Campus Employment as a High Impact Practice, will provide an opportunity to share information and experiences related to developing campus employment programs as high-impact practices (Kuh, Kinzie, Schuh, and Whitt, 2010) supporting student development, career development, learning, retention and graduation.
