Creating Community for Foster Youth on College Campuses: Effective Strategies for Academic Success

Foster youth are among the most underrepresented student populations on college campuses. Data reveals 84% of foster youth want to attend college, yet it is estimated that only 1-11% of them graduate from college. Why is this so? In this panel presentation, attendees will learn causes of this abysmal statistic and how their campuses can best serve foster youth to ensure better educational outcomes.
