Adapting Evidence-Informed Approaches: Challenges and Opportunities for Violence Prevention at Commuter Schools

Sexual assault and gender-based violence prevention programs have proliferated on college campuses, but often leave out commuter schools. Further, historically marginalized and underserved populations at community colleges and other commuter schools experience unique challenges and opportunities for prevention. This presentation will provide an overview of evidence-based prevention strategies, the different needs of two and four-year college students, and strategies for addressing these needs using a multi-method, ecological approach to violence prevention.
